I have had a busy week of shows this week. First was my event at the W Seattle for their "WearWednesdays" series and now I am on day two of three of my first Pop-Up in Pioneer Square with the formidable Cass LaValle of Coco + Kelley. Tomorrow is the last day and it is sure to WOW! From workshops galore to cocktails and nibbles plus the chance to shop from E. Smith Mercantile BDR-studio, Dorotea Ceramics, History + Industry, Joanna Morgan, Makrbox, Sara Adrienne Designs, Seattle Design Foundation simple & crisp, Victory Garden Yarn and of course ME!
Zinc Art + Interiors - a brand new stockist for my stacking rings will be hosting me for a special Mother's Day Trunk Show in Edmonds, WA. If you have seen my Harem and Cosmic Cocktail Stacking rings in person or are a collector you know how addictive and covetable they are. Zinc will be the exclusive stockist of the rings in the Edmonds area and you can shop my entire global inspired collection of one-of-a-kind rings, necklaces and gem-tastic earrings right here in Edmonds without having to hop a plane!
Shamila’s gorgeous work is some of the most exquisite we’ve seen—her use of bold colors, unusual stones and essentials perfect technique means that a gift of a piece of Shamila jewelry will last a lifetime.
She also selected a delectable pair of carved and faceted green onyx gem drops set in 14k gold with diamond accents as the go-to-gift for your mama! You can read the entire feature here : Mom's Day out in Edmonds.
See you in Edmonds!
Rutilated Topaz is one stone I cannot keep in stock enough and that is when I am able to find specimens I like. My Kova series debuted with this special stone and I have sought them out since. This stunning piece features 7 carats of sparkly Rutilated Topaz with copper needles set in white gold and diamonds. It is so one of a kind. This ring would make a perfect anniversary gift or an alternative engagement ring for the bride who wants a center stone that is not a diamond, but rather something more interesting and with character. This beauty will be available at my shows this holiday season!
An afternoon of decadent chocolates and stunning gems await you at the Theo Flagship store this Saturday. I have made two dozen pieces specifically for this event for your gift giving pleasures! Hope to see you at my last trunk-show of 2012!

This year is winding down faster than I can even begin to tell you. I have just returned from three back to back shows in Chicago and days before at the Claremont in Berkeley. Intense travel is what it has been these last 10 days. I am happy to say that one of my favourite shows is just around the corner and I cannot wait to show my collection of fine and every day jewels. The show has an incredible following with lineups out the door by 11am. So if you want to catch me and a handful of fine artisans and designers all hand picked for this boutique event, then I hope to see you on Saturday.
Here is the list of all the designers who are participating at the event! Andrea Kohler, Shamila Jiwa, Ja Teuber, Meredith MacLeod , Tamila Morgan, Lisa Chun, Trilby Hainstock, Julie Lyderson-Jackson, Michele Jaillett Chui and FAM hostess Roberta Torgerson and you can read all about them and their wares here on the Fatto A Mano Blog!

It is my first time in LA, can you believe? Been all over our lovely planet (well, almost) however not quite to La La Land! I am nervous and excited since I have heard lots of conflicting reviews about tinsel town. In any case; I have a show to participate in, friends to reconnect with, new contacts to be made and good weather and food to enjoy in some much needed California sunshine! So bring your mama to see moi at the 4th Annual Unique LA Show and get her jewelry she will swoon over :-)
Here is a small sneak peek of items I will be bringing to the show:

See you in LA, xoxoS
Another busy week has ended here at Atelier Shamila. Actually weekends never mean relaxation and spa days around here, it just means still working but with bobs of breaks during the day, or a happy hour, or as is the case tomorrow: a Mother's Day Trunk Show at Theo Chocolate in downtown Fremont. Our friends at Seattle Metropolitan Magazine featured the event in their blog:see you there! xoxoS
I am en route to Chicago this evening. This will be my 5th trip in about a year and a bit. Love Chicago! Excited to explore new restaurants and then show my newest collection at my most favourite place in the city this weekend - The gorgeous Art Institute. I am behind in my blogging by a bazillion blog posts. I am so sorry. However; between marketing, attending events, designing, shopping for gems and traveling for shows there are just so many hours in the day. I need a clone of me! The invitation is below. I promise to blog more consistently as I have lots to share with you! See you in Chicago!
